Elizabeth Taber Statue Unveiling and Celebration

The Elizabeth Taber Statue Committee invites you to the celebration and dedication of the Elizabeth Taber statue on Saturday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bicentennial Park across from the Marion Town House. There will be several remarks by Judy Rosbe, Chair of the Elizabeth Taber Statue Committee; Randy Parker, Chairman of the Marion Board of Selectmen; and Erik Durant, noted sculptor from New Bedford, who has spent the last two years creating a life-size figure of Elizabeth cast in bronze. The statue committee has raised all the funds for this project from generous donors and will give the statue to the Town of Marion. We hope that you will join us in welcoming Elizabeth Taber back home.
