An invitation to share your stories!
The Sippican Historical Society would like to invite YOU to help record history! The COVID-19 epidemic has been a historic event, and has dramatically influenced the lives of everyone in this country, as well as in the wider global community. We encourage everyone to write about your experience of this devastating event in order to help future generations of researchers, historians, and local residents to understand the effect this pandemic had on our community.
Keep history alive by recording your story for future generations.
Are you an essential worker? A parent? Someone working remotely? An elementary school student? A farmer? Someone who lives in an assisted living facility? A first responder? A high school senior? A retiree? An athlete? A small business owner? Write about what activities kept you busy, what new TV shows or movies you discovered, and what new recipes you tried. Tell us about what you missed, what you learned, how you made do, how you kept active, how you cared for others, and how others cared for you. Share your experiences, and we will collect and preserve your stories, making them part of the historic record.
Contact us at [email protected] to share your story in any format!
Encourage your children and/or grandchildren to participate too, so we’ll have a broad age range represented!
