What a turnout!
The Marion Historic District Study Committee gave a wonderful presentation on September 12, 2023 at the Music Hall. Consultant Eric Dray summarized the history and outlined possibilities for the geographic boundaries and implementation of a Massachusetts Historic District in Marion. Historic District Study Committee chair Will Tifft presented the 2023 homeowner survey results.

Dray’s overview relied on information gathered by Marion Historic Commission’s survey (funded by Marion Community Preservation Act grant) and detailed home history research funded by the Sippican Historical Society.
Thank you to everyone who attended, asked excellent questions and shared their viewpoints. The Study Committee plans to hold more public information meetings during the winter and early spring of 2024.
