John Waterman

John Waterman received the Sippician Historical Society’s annual award for dedicated service to Marion. The award was presented at the Society’s annual meeting on Friday, June 10, 2022.

Society president Will Tift cited Waterman’s accomplishments on behalf of the town.

Those efforts, Tift said, included his involvement with an enrollment study of Sippican School; digitization of town records; development of a comprehensive wastewater management plan; work on the Capital Improvement and Finance committees; and a leadership role in the Town House restoration, among other projects.

Waterman served on the Marion Select Board for a term before opting not to seek relection.
